Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her professional career in the show business from a young age. When she was 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of television dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall, her role as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also highly praised. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated features featuring models. Alexandra's work has led her to work on a number of notable international and national projects. Among others, these projects include the British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she is juror at each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
